Closed, the awning is locked firmly in place by motor gears. Accidental opening is prevented by an electronic sensor. Built-in batteries virtually eliminate power failure, but an internal spring allows for manual closing. Heavy duty "piston" support arms give the awning extra strong support, almost twice the strength of an ordinary awning, to withstand wind and rain. Evenly distributed three point installation, attached high for a head-clear walking space below, gives you more protection in all kinds of weather.
